Epigram from Lusitano’s “Liber Primus Epigramatum”

WritingLatin transcription of the prefatory epigram at the beginningvof Vicente Lusitano’s Liber Primus Epigramatum, a book of motets for five, six and eight voices printed in Rome first in 1551 but altered to 1555. The poem was written by the theorist Giovan Tomaso Cimello, that praises Lusitano as another Orpheus. Cimello was at the service of Marc’Antonio Collona, to whom Lusitano dedicated his 1553 treatise.
