Tomorrow (22 June 2011, 6:30pm) I will be singing with Ensemble Vocal Manuel Mendes, directed by Christopher Bochmann at Évora’s Museum. It’s a free-entry concert. We will be singing the same programme of the latest concerts, comprising late16th-century chansons and madrigals from Italy, England and France.
The Museum is a former ecclesiastical building with fantastic acoustics (as usual in buildings of this kind) for a capella polyphony. I’m very excited to sing there. It is situated next to the Cathedral, the Roman temple and the Public Library and, near by, Loios Convent. These are probably the most important agglomerate of historical buildings in Évora.
